ㅤthe story thus far ;ㅤ
ㅤabout.ㅤ on the surface, clover is a painter that markets herself as an art conservator - someone that can restore damaged paintings back to something akin to their original state. she also deals in the curation of artwork within The Sycamore Gap. In truth, Clover was - and sometimes still is - a thief whose eyes are trained on acquiring valuables belonging to the wealthily corrupt, and the corruptly wealthy.now, however, clover has stepped back to help train and oversee the next generation of gold-hearted criminals.ㅤhistory.ㅤ While no records of Clover are easily found, likely due to the fact that this is also a false alias, the woman who holds the namesake once lived as an art historian and conservator in Rabanastre, Dalmasca prior to it being conquered by the Garlean empire. Coincidentally, most of her targets during her more active days as a thief seem to be art pieces taken from Imperials of note -- hinting at a potential bias of taking from the very people that once took her home.ㅤpowers/abilities.ㅤ
- Wind-marked — A boon of her tribe; Clover is able to travel undetected and unseen when in nature.
- Whisperlock — Pins and tumblers and safes are her specialty. She can crack into almost any locked room, chest, or safe with ease.
- Eye for Detail — A supposed art curator by trade, Clover can tell much about a painting based on the texture, scent, or tone of paints used, the fabric of canvas, or even the preservatives in use.

ㅤnetworking.ㅤ Though Clover is often commissioned to steal only specific pieces, some items may find their way into her pockets along the way. It pays to have good fencers or buyers to move inventory.ㅤartwork.ㅤ Whether it's restoring a damaged painting, appraising a found one, or even painting an original work, clover has a strong expertise when it comes to the subject... as well as a vested interest.ㅤcommissions.ㅤ Following that line of thought, it's not uncommon for others to seek her out to commission a painting. portraits are her specialty, and her style borders on surrealism - done to capture the spirit and soul of a person, rather than merely imitating their appearance. on the other side of the coin, however, clover takes on commissions to procure certain rare, high-value pieces for specific clientele.ㅤdalmasca.ㅤ Once upon a time, Clover was but an art curator, and painter of various figures of importance within the Kingdom. Following the Empire's invasion, however, others may better remember her better as being tied to leading a resistance cell before disappearing.ㅤthe empire.ㅤ A good deal of works stolen were actually various pieces taken from locations conquered by imperial forces. She can be something of an unnamed menace then in that regard, and it could be a matter of time before the military force — or pocket remnants of what's left of them — decides to look into preventing any further escapades from her by going on the offensive.ㅤclandestine.ㅤ Rare. Information brokers, well-networked criminals, spies, and higher ranking (former or current) resistance members in Dalmasca may recognize her ties to the organization known as the Silent Grove , a Robin Hood like entity that targets those that are corrupt in their power and wealth to help the impoverished. Allies may have access to hiring Grove agents for specific work, information, or contracts.
